Produce

Here is a list of produce we grow and a little bit of information on some of our favorites!

Tomatoes

Our favorite this season is the heirloom tomatoes. These are colorful tomatoes with a deeper flavor and a more authentic taste. Not only is the color pleasing to the eyes, but the taste is also pleasant.

We also have:

  • Large red slicer tomatoes

  • Cherry tomatoes

  • Roma tomatoes

Sprouting Broccoli

These are great because they have sweet and tender stems, and they are great cooked and raw!

Cauliflower

This season we have a delicious classic white cauliflower, which is great for salads as well as grilled!

Cucumbers

For cucumbers, we really enjoy the greenhouse slicers. These have a crispy and refreshing flavor. They are also burpless, which gives them a sweeter taste.

Peppers

This season we have Giant bell peppers, this pepper comes in a variety of colors! they are a good all-around sweet pepper.

  • Poblano

Greens

We have an excellent variety of greens! our favorite this season is the crispy cabbage. This is great for Coleslaw and Sauerkraut, these are both favorite dishes in our family.

  • Kale

  • Swiss chard

  • Spinach

Our favorite this season is the Baby lettuce which is good for a variety of things and the size makes it convenient for salads, and sandwiches.

Corn

This season we are growing two types of corn, sweet corn, and Indian corn. There is nothing like sweet corn hot off the grill! and the Indian corn is beautiful with all the different colors and makes a great decoration.

Root Vegetables

We are growing a variety of root vegetables 

  • Sweet onions

  • Spring onion

  • Radish

  • Carrots

Squash 

The classic butternut squash is one of our favorites. It is great for all your squash recipes, our family's favorite is a black bean and squash casserole recipe!

​

We also have:

  • Acorn squash

  • Pumpkins

  • Carving Pumpkins

  • Summer squash

  • Zucchini

Melons

we are growing 3 different types of melons. The classic watermelon is a go-to for cookouts and as a sweet summer treat!

Eggplant 

This season we are growing two types of eggplant. They are both thin-skinned and will be great for all kinds of meals and recipes.

This season we will have sugar-snap peas, these are great because you can eat them raw and cook them with the pod. They make a good afternoon snack!

Herbs

This season we are growing two kinds of herbs. Dill and Basil.

Flowers

We grow a variety of flower that is not only pretty but also have a purpose in the garden. They attract pollinators and birds that will eat the pests.
